Pat has provided consultation to programs and organizations in using DBT and social work principles in:
Residential programs;
Positive behavior systems – point and level systems – within programs
Supportive Housing programs and Rehab programs
The larger mental health system, collateral and cooperative work with other organizations and systems
Residential staff training and staff development DBT and acceptance approaches to working with clients
The Development of one of the first adolescent programs designed and implemented entirely around the DBT therapeutic framework. This program, The Grove Street Adolescent Residence, won an APA Gold Award for Community Services in 2004.
Pat has provided clinical – behavioral consultation to the clinical and residential programs at St. Luke's Home, Inc., Adventist Behavioral Health, Inc In-patient Units and to the ARC (Association of Retarded Citizens) of Howard County. Pat was the Public Policy Consultant to NAMI Maryland providing advocacy and testimony on behalf of children, adolescents and adults who have mental illness.
